Sunset Travel Update, from the notable Sunset Magazine, is travel blog that publishes insider travel tips, unique destination ideas, and the scoop on under-the-radar hotel specials, restaurants, attractions and activities, and shopping.

This project was a move and revamping. We moved their previous travel blog from Typepad to WordPress, added a subscriber flow for users to sign up for free instantly downloadable travel guides, and improved the flow of content for specific destinations for travelers interested in exploring the West.

The result, an 18 fold increase in their blog traffic!

KEMA Utility of the Future Blog KEMA is a global company and leading authority in energy consulting and testing certification. A company based on standards hired Poles Apart Design to create a weblog that’s just as up-to-par. Like many companies, KEMA wanted a blog to serve as an extension of their marketing efforts to discuss their vision, share information to the far corners of the internet, increase client interactivity and show their expertise in their field. KEMA also needed a blog design that matched their current website design to keep with their branding since the company is so well known in the energy industry.

The result, a seamless replica in design and a high standard of functionality to serve their marketing efforts!

Oakland Bloggers Network

Oakland Bloggers Network is blog network of bloggers in Oakland, California. The network was built using the WordPress platform and includes a blog, some static pages, a couple of dynamic pages, an interactive Google map, forms and a lifestream for the blogs on the network. A forum, using bbPress (from the creators of WordPress) will be added and designed to function with and have the same color scheme as the rest of the network’s pages.
